Tonkatsu by Ma Maison is a chain of restaurants from Japan that specializes in Tonkatsu, one of Japan’s most loved dishes.
The authentic taste of Katsu comes straight from Nagoya from its purveyor Chef Akinori Terazawa. His special technique of keeping the meat succulent has sparked a massive craze globally landing him outlets across the globe.
Tonkatsu by Ma Maison opened its first outlet in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in January 2013 and has since become a frequent favourite with the locals and the Japanese community around the Klang Valley.
In Tonkatsu by Ma Maison, we practise a special traditional Japanese meat aging technique by wrapping the meat in white cloth and storing in a dedicated chiller for days. This to seal the juices and flavors of the meat to ensure its tenderness and bring out the umami flavors.
